Noblesse et poésie

"Kashpurin his technique is magnificent, never fragmented and without any frills. The music  comes into its own, carried by a rich but never fat sound.

La grande classe!"

During the final of the International Liszt Utrecht Piano Competition, Alexander played Liszt's  2nd piano concerto together with the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Stéphane Denève.

The jury  awarded Alexander with the first prize.

He also received the audience award. Both jury and public were united in their judgment

From the Jury report:
Alexander Kashpurin has a completely unique view of everything he touches, he is very creative and has a very musical voice.

He is someone you want to listen to again and again. He plays the music as if he wrote it himself and blows you away when he plays. He is the most dramatic and emotional, and at the same time skilled and intelligent pianist. Spiritual and fragile, with sensitive senses with which he creates true magic. He presented himself as a real musician. It was moving to see someone who was so in love with the music.”

The international jury consisted of Andrea Bonatta, Suzana Bartal, Mariam Batsashvili, Severin von Eckardstein, Janina Fialkowska, Saskia Giorgini, Pierre van der Westhuizen, Yingdi Sun and Cynthia Wilson (Chairman).
